Canada: Hemp truck involved in rollover

Hemp truck rollover crashAn accident involving two trucks near Indian Head, Sask., was causing delays on the Trans-Canada Highway Tuesday afternoon.

RCMP said a semi-trailer truck hauling hempseed collided with a half-ton truck, then flipped onto its side.

Eastbound traffic was blocked, so RCMP rerouted vehicles onto a westbound lane of the highway.

Peter Peters, who was driving the semi, was shaken but wasn’t injured.

“I was so scared … like everybody was going to get killed here,” he said. “That was what I had on my mind. I didn’t want nobody to get killed.”

The accident wasn’t his fault, Peters said.

Two people in the pickup were taken to hospital with unspecified injuries.
