Industrial hemp has brought us so many revolutionary new ways of thinking and creating. Hemp seeds, with their plethora of different uses, are no different. When they aren’t being used for medicine, fuel, or cosmetics, they’re being experimented with to create delicious delights that not only tantalize the taste buds, but are extremely healthy for you as well.

Chocolate Hemp Pudding

To start, if you’re a chocolate lover, you might want to try raw chocolate hemp pudding. If you’re anything like me, the word “chocolate” perks your ears up like a cocker spaniel catching the faint meow of a stray ally cat. Anything chocolate related that could also be healthy for you is just the icing on the cake. Mmm cake…Anyhow, a nutritious and extremely quick and easy recipe for chocolate hemp pudding is exactly what you need to calm your sweet tooth during the late night hours. It’s also just about guilt free.

Raw hemp seeds and cacao powder blend together for an amazingly healthy ingredient that can be used in a number of great deserts. The antioxidant and omega fatty acids make this health food ideal, because the more you eat, the better you can feel about yourself. If you use something healthy like raisins or dates as a sweetener, you’re creating a delicious treat that could actually help boost your health. Hemp seeds are known to provide a healthy kick in your diet, but when you combine it with something like a chocolate snack you’re driving straight over the top of Crazy Land and into Ridiculous Town

You’ll need:

  • 2/3 cup pitted dates
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2/3 cup ice
  • 1 cup hemp seeds
  • 1/8 cup cacao powder
  • pinch vanilla bean powder
  • fresh berries (if you like)

How to create it:

Step 1: Add the dates, water and ice to the blender and blend into a rough paste.
Step 2: Add the hemp seeds, cacao powder and vanilla bean powder.
Step 3: Blend until smooth and creamy.
Step 4: Serve with fresh blueberries, strawberries or raspberries.

Creamy Cilantro Hemp Dressing
If you’re anything like me, you want something great tasting and easy to make as well. I don’t know about you but I’m no Bobby Flay. If you handed me raw hemp seeds and told me to make a salad dressing, I’d sprinkle them on some lettuce and call it a day. Well, now you can create something so delicious and so ridiculously easy to make from hemp seeds, your friends will be floored. Creamy hemp cilantro dressing is one of the most fantastic recipes I’ve found on the web today. One of the wonderful things about salad dressing is that you can also use it as dips or spread for crackers and veggies.

For this you will need:

  • 1/2 cup hemp seeds
  • 2 cups zucchini (peel them and cube them)
  • 1 to 2 cloves of garlic (crushed)
  • 1 handful cilantro
  • 1 handful dill
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 lemon (juiced)
  • pinch of salt to taste

Here’s the really fun part: The preparation.

Step 1: Put everything in a blender and mix until smooth and creamy.

Chocolate covered strawberries

There’s really nothing quite like them, and if you love sinful treats but don’t feel like going to confession afterwards, you might want to experiment with some hemp seed chocolate dipped strawberries. This recipe, again, is so easy to make and just perfect for a late night snack, desert, or treat to serve dinner guests.

You’ll need:

  • 1 pound of Strawberries
  • 1/4 cup of coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup of Raw Cacao Powder
  • 2 Tbsp of Coconut Nectar Syrup
  • 1/4 tsp of Vanilla Bean Powder
  • A pinch of sea salt
  • Hemp Seeds   (You can add toasted coconut or almonds as well!)

Step 1: Heat the coconut oil until it’s a liquid. Mix the liquid with raw cacao powder, coconut nectar syrup, vanilla bean powder, and the salt.

Step 2: Dip strawberries into chocolate mixture and let excess chocolate drizzle off.

Step 3: Roll your strawberries into the chocolate mixture.

Step 4: Let sit in your fridge until the chocolate sets.

Who says guilt food need to make you feel guilty? Treat yourself to just one of the many healthy ways industrial hemp and its hemp seeds can boost your food’s flavor and ultimately make you feel better. Enjoy!
