I very much so agree with the previous comments.
It is the forest industry lobbiests that are worried about a competing battle between competition (look at United States). It's disgusting to see government sit back and sip their coffees having the knowledge of what could be and a potential turn for economical resources. Our planet isn't getting and smaller, the population isn't decreasing in any way and there sure is not enough resources to keep us all going for much longer. I hope there's a higher power who makes the change to bring upon what could be and new hope for this world. It's funny to worry about such a craze of distinguishing cannabis of marijuana and cannabis of hemp, marijuana is far from a dangerous substance. If marijuana is such a scare, why isn't cigarettes or alcohol? Oh wait.. that's because it's legal.

A democracy cannot survive if those who vote are denied information to inform them. To accuse others of misdeeds because they read the law or follow the actions of the courts is ludicrous. Those who would ban information are truly a threat to our liberty. Try as they might their actions only make people go further out of their way to learn the truth.

It is foolish to encourage the growth of cotton in our country which requires the inordinate use of pesticides when hemp provides a stronger fiber almost without the use of pesticides. Why do we continue to cut down forests for paper when hemp makes an archival quality paper that can be quickly regrown? Long ago, Kentucky produced some of the finest hemp available. For the federal government to continue to ban hemp because it looks like marijuana is like them removing sugar and flour from our stores because it resembles cocaine. This ban is based on good old American greed of those who would compete with hemp based products.

Isn't it time to just look at the damn facts and pull out heads out of that dark, smelly place? I think it's mainly due to timber industry lobbiests trying to protect their industry from having to compete with hemp. In turn the politicians who are influenced by the lobbiests are hurting their country, environment and their people just for some kick backs. If we started growing hemp we wouldn't have as big of a need to harvest our forests. some harvesting keeps forests healthy. Hemp can be used in so many things from eating seeds to pulling rope to making a house from it it's crazy not to grow it!

It is a shame that something that is 100% natural and can offer so much is kept illeagal. I have worked in hospice care for years and have seen the terrible side-effects of man made drugs, not to mention over doses, from what I have read it is IMPOSSIBLE to overdose on marijuana. As for agricultural hemp, I am even more confused on why it is illeagal. Maby our government just likes to see us struggle, after all they must realize the potential economical beifits.

yes, with the right equipment any strain can be grown anywhere, otherwise you will need to find a strain native to your enviorment or one similar. I can almost promise you there will be at least one strain, but it may not be ideal for your intended use. differint strains very dramatically in use/look/proportion.

What discourages you from fully supporting hemp/marijuana legalization? Is it the access that young people would supposedly have in a regulated market like how alcohol is? What about the health risks that are less harmful than tobacco (which is legal) and alcohol (also, legal)? Or maybe it's the non physically addictive (only habit forming) properties that cure cancerous cells and provoke brain function and appetite stimulation? Wait a second! Those are all positives! So what you're saying is, you're against a plant that naturally grows the way it does, and has, for over 3000 documented years. A plant that is "a gift from god" See Genesis 1:29, if you're basing your opinion on religious reasons. A plant that has been proven scientifically to heal the damage that said plant does to your body, ON ITS OWN. Yes there are negatives to it, but the benefits from full legalization, regulation, and taxation, FAR and I mean FAR outweigh the negatives.
