Comment on Hemp seeds by Native Traditions.
When I opened my art gallery in St. Augustine, FL, I included hemp clothes for sale, as I knew the awesome durable and long tenure properties of hemp. I sold wallets, back packs, some clothing and much more. There was always someone visiting the store with stories of hemp products bought 10 or more years and that had had a long, long durable life, and still ticking. Always wondered why it wasn’t approved for use in the U.S. with our needs for a “greener environment”.
I do know that after years of attack and destroy of hemp crops at harvest time, on the Pine Ridge Rez, the U.S. Government finally approved the Lakota Tribe for an economic project growing hemp for clothes, etc. Makes great sense, and it has helped to infuse a monetary project into the Nation.
